I’ve been using our exploration station as a participatory art station along with a story walk, and this summer I turned the exploration station into a hero wall. The windows that we use for the story walks turned into our super city, which the kids covered in stickers and superheroes as they read their way through the summer.
For the hero wall, we had three different prompts up throughout the summer for kids to interact with and respond.
This was the most popular, with kids adding all sorts of creative superpowers. (Although I took down on that said “killing people.”)
These ones maybe made me almost cry…
But this might be my favorite:
